The experience starts from Limassol port, at around 16.00 hours. After passport formalities you may relax in
your comfort cabin or at the ships swimming pool area. The night starts
with a spectacular buffet dinner. Enjoy a rich palette of international
cuisine in the luxurious dining rooms, relax with cocktail and music
throughout the evening in one of the vessels bar, or if live shows and
cabaret are more your scene, visit the lounges where you will be entertained
all night. Next day, we dock at Rhodes.
OPTIONAL SHORE EXCURSION LINDOS. After
disembarkation, we will drive along the coastal road to Lindos area
of Rhodes.
Lindos was established about 3000 years ago and was one of the important
Civilizations of the Ancient World. Lindos was a Civilized Center , when
even Rome was only a small Etruscan village.
The Temple of LINDIA Athena was built in 550 B.C by Cleoboulos and was
rebuilt in the third Century B.C in the form that you see it today.
St. Paul was Ship-wrecked at Lindos and founded the Rhodian Church. The Bay
next to Lindos Acropolis is still called St. Pauls Bay.
After the collapse of the Hellinistic and Byzantine World,
the island was occupied by the Nights of St. John , who fortified the
Acropolis at Lindos , to protect it from the Saracan Invasion. They
incorporated inside the Acropolis the Old Byzantine Church dedicated to the
Holy Mother ( the Panayia), which is still visible.
We return back to Rhodes for an unforgettable night, full
of entertainment and romance!
